Find schools near you

Enter any English postcode to find the nearest primary and secondary schools, sorted by straight-line distance.

What the postcode search shows

The results split nearby schools into primary and secondary lists and show the official information parents usually need first: phase, distance, dated Ofsted evidence and the latest comparable headline result. Open a school to see admissions, pupil numbers, Progress 8 where available, neighbourhood context and schools with a similar intake.

Finding primary schools near you

Primary admissions often use distance as a tie-break, but the rule may instead give priority to siblings, looked-after children, faith membership or a defined priority area. Start with the closest schools, then read the current admissions policy for each one.

Finding secondary schools near you

Secondary schools may be comprehensive, selective, faith-based or independently run. Distance alone cannot tell you whether a child is eligible, and an old furthest-offer distance is not a guaranteed catchment. The school page keeps those distinctions visible rather than reducing them to a single score.

Why there is no fixed catchment map

A real catchment is the result of a school's rules and that year's applications. It can change from one admissions round to the next. This tool therefore reports a reproducible distance from the postcode centroid to the school's recorded location and leaves the admissions decision with the published policy.
